Introducing Venus & Slidell |

Now that Slobberspace has been live for almost a month, I think it's time for me to introduce my own two dogs, Venus and Slidell. I know some of you know them already, but some don't.
First, Slidell. He is named after a town in Louisiana right next to New Orleans. Carla & I rescued him from New Orleans back in 2001 and he rode back with us in the cab of a rented pickup truck all the way to San Francisco. He is part Catahoula (a spotted hound dog from Louisiana) and part yellow lab. At least that's what our vet thinks. In my opinion he is the most handsome dog in the world, and a little too smart for his own good. For this photo he decided to put his ears up. |
| And here is dear Venus, the Great Dane. We just adopted her in February as an 8 year old, which is old for a Dane. She is not so smart and a little senile, but soooo lovable. She is just a big goofy clown and only wants to snuggle. |
